Bessie Coleman – American Aviator

Bessie Coleman was an American aviator. She was the first Native-American and African-American woman to earn a pilot license. Here are some facts that you may not know about her!

She was a manicurist at a barbershop, when she was younger

– She was most known for doing flying tricks, such as the “loop-the-loop” and making the shape of an 8 with her plane.

– Sadly, she passed away during a plane crash. Over 10,000 people came to mourn at her funeral

– In 1995, The United States Postal Service created a stamp after her.
