Ida B. Wells was an American Journalist, Civil Rights Activist, and Women’s Activist. Here are some facts about her!

– When she was only sixteen, her parents both passed away, so she had to get a job as a teacher to care for all of her younger brothers and sisters, of which there were seven.

– She was one of the founders for the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (the NAACP).

– She got married to a man named Ferdinand, together they had four children.

– She created the first African-American kindergarten in Chicago.
