Indira Gandhi was one of the most influential leaders in modern Indian history. Born in 1917, she served as the Prime Minister of India for four terms, from 1966 to 1977, and again from 1980 until her assassination in 1984. During her tenure as Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi introduced policies that transformed India’s economy, military, and international position.
