Marie Curie was a French-Polish physicist. Here are some radioactive facts that you might not have known about her.

– She was the first woman to be awarded the Nobel Prize, she was awarded it twice

– She is the only person awarded the Nobel Prize in two different sciences

– Both of her parents were teachers

– Two of the elements she discovered are on the Periodic Table

– Her daughter, Irene also was awarded a Nobel Prize, in 1935

– Her notebooks are radioactive still
