Ursula von der Leyen is a German politician and physician who has been making waves in the political landscape. Ursula von der Leyen – Early Career

Ursula von der Leyen began her political career in 2003 when she won a seat in the Lower Saxony state parliament. She was then appointed Minister for Social Affairs and Health in Lower Saxony and in 2005 she became the first woman to hold the post of Federal Minister of Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women, and Youth.
