Meryl Streep is an American actress. Here are some fun facts about her!

– Meryl isn’t actually her first name, it’s just a nickname! Her real name is actually Mary Louise which comes from her mother and grandmother’s first name (Mary), and her mother’s best friend’s name (Louise). Meryl is a name her dad gave her that just stuck.

– During her high school years, she participated in many activities including the Cheerleading squad, musicals, French Club, and Student Council. During her senior year, she was also elected homecoming queen.

– After Meryl graduated from Vassar College, she earned a Master of Fine Arts from the Yale School of Drama in 1975.

– Meryl has been nominated for 21 Oscars, and has won 3. She won Best Actress in 2012 for her performance in The Iron Lady, Best Actress in 1983 for her performance in Sophie’s Choice, and Best Supporting Actress in 1980 for her performance in Kramer vs. Kramer.

She is best known for her roles in Mamma Mia! (my personal favorite), The Devil Wears Prada, Into the Woods, and Suffragette.

If you have seen any of her movies, please tell us about them! Thanks for reading and have a great day!
