– Her father passed away when she was young, so she was raised by her mother
– When she was eighteen she spent a year in Ireland learning how to speak English, before she went off to help the sick and poor in India
– Albania’s airport is named after her, called Aeroporti Nene Tereza
– She was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1979
– When she was awarded the prize, she asked to have the winnings/money go to the needy of India, instead of her
– One time, she traveled through the middle of a war zone to save 37 children
